Gloria Vando’s books and poems have won numerous awards, including the Poetry Society of America’s di Castagnola Award, Latino Literary Hall of Fame: Best Poetry Book of the Year, and others. She’s founding publisher/editor of Helicon Nine Editions, which received the Kansas Governor’s Arts Award, a contributing editor to the North American Review, and serves on the boards of the Venice Arts Council and Beyond Baroque in Los Angeles.  (69 words)

Jimmy Pappas won the Rattle Chapbook Contest with Falling off the Empire State Building, won the Rattle Readers Choice Award for “Bobby’s Story,” and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Rattle for “The Gray Man.” He recently received a Pushcart nomination from Naugatuck River Review. He now moderates a weekly themed Zoom event called “A Conversation with Jimmy and Friends” that encourages audience participation. 

Jennifer Maritza McCauley is a multi-genre writer and the author of Kinds of Grace (FlowerSong Press), When Trying to Return Home (Counter Point) SCAR ON/SCAR OFF (Stalking Horse) and Neon Steel (Cornerstone Press) (2/26). She is an assistant professor of English at UMKC and fiction editor at Pleiades.
